Jenna & Tom – De Courceys Manor autumnal wedding

Hey there! I have finally got round to blogging about Tom & Jenna’s amazing wedding at De Courceys Manor. Tom & Jenna are quite possibly the nicest people on plant earth and their wedding reflected that! De Courceys Manor is one of my favourite venues to work at too. If you are looking for a De Courceys Manor wedding photographer I would love to hear from you. I love going there. The food is amazing and there are so many cool places for photos.

The wedding day

Jenna & Tom got married on a crisp November day in beautiful Ceremony room at Decouceys. It was so lovely to get to know Jenna & Tom before their wedding. I met them at Penarth Pier for a pre wedding photoshoot which was lovely. We discussed their plans for natural wedding photography.

Also, I just wanted to mention that Tom runs an amazing organisation called Not Broken. They highlight accessibility for bikes and adaptive solutions to ensure that everyone is able to access a bike. I won’t ramble on too much as the photos from the day are below and they tell the story of the day far better than I can.

Please check out the gallery for more of my work. If you are getting married and feel that my work would suit your wedding day, come and say hey! I love to chat about wedding plans and I would love to discuss photographing your wedding. 2020 is looking to be my busiest year yet, so if you are reading this and are thinking of getting in touch about your wedding photography please don’t wait on it.

I am also very proud to be on the De Courceys Manor wedding photographer recommended list. I’m so excited to return to De Courceys next year and capture some more beautiful weddings for loads of awesome couples.

Emlyn Hotel Wedding Photographer

Hello everybody! Today I am blogging Katie & Rhys’s Emlyn Hotel wedding  in Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion, West Wales. I have been a Emlyn Hotel wedding photographer a few times now and I love working there. The wedding was on the August bank holiday and it was a beautiful day. I remember being so worried about the weather, as the forecast was so bad. It said 100% chance of rain for most of the day, however the met office website is a dirty liar. The weather was actually pretty good and even the sun came out.

The wedding day!

Katie & Rhys are the sweetest people. I think the thing I love the most about photographing weddings is how quickly you get to know people. It starts to feel like you have known each other for years. I defiantly felt that way about these guys.

Katie & Rhys planned a wonderful day from gift giving to closest to them during the morning preparations, to the details of the venue and heartfelt speeches. I was a big fan of the doughnut tiers, rather than a cake. I think i was the first person to delve into the doughnuts, my excuse is all the running round makes me hungry.

Shout out to the Vicar!

Also, I just want to give a shout out to Matthew the Vicar at Felin-Fach church where Rhys & Katie got married. Matthew was so welcoming and I loved his approach to the service. He started the ceremony with jokes about buying the vicar a drink in the pub afterwards, and was generally a good dude.

Thank you for reading and having a look at this post! You may want to have a look through my post showing my highlights of 2018, the gallery for more wedding images or send me a message so we can chat about your wedding plans. If you are having a Emlyn Hotel wedding yourself, send me a message, I would love to come back and shoot your big day.

Hey! I am finally getting around to blogging Rachel & Karls Coldra Court wedding in Newport tonight. I have known Rachel for years, having been friends in school and then working together as teaching assistants together years later! Karl and Rachel planned an incredibly sweet and relaxed wedding day that reflected them as a couple, and their family. Tables were named after their favourite bands (I secretly wanted to be on the placebo table, I love placebo!). I asked Karl to throw the wedding rings in the air before the ceremony, as I had this cool idea to capture the rings in mid air. Karl told me that he had already lost the rings once that day! Check the shot out below, its one of my favourite detail shots i’ve taken. Hope you enjoy! Please check out more of my images in the gallery!

Today I am blogging Emma & Gareth’s welsh wedding at Tredegar Park Golf club. First of all, Emma & Gareth are so lush its silly. They are such lovely people who genuinely love each other so much. This was the wettest wedding I have ever photographed and did present a few challenges as the rain did not hold off until the late evening. However, living in Wales we are used to a little bit of rain. I’m a professional, I can deal with a bit of water, right? Hair and make up was done by the always lovely Jenna McDonnell (her new shop is Newport is amazing and will have some of work in the wedding showroom!) Emma & Gareth (along with Sophie & Matt – my first ever bride & groom) made so many pom-poms to decorate the room and it looked beautiful. Please scroll through and enjoy! You can also check out Emma & Gareths Pre Wedding shoot and more of my work in the Gallery!
